Membership classes and benefits
Annual nalgao Corporate Membership is just £165 for Local Authority Corporate Membership, through a named officer. Corporate membership includes:
nalgao Supplementary Membership: £85 for second or further officers within local authorities who already are in corporate membership, who wish to have individual membership and mailings. This includes all of the above membership benefits (but without the corporate vote), including a discounted attendance fee to the national Conference (saving £200).
nalgao Associate Membership: This category of membership is for individuals working in the independent arts and cultural sectors, and is £165 per annum. This includes all of the above membership benefits, including a discounted attendance fee to the national Conference (saving £200).
nalgao Group Associate Membership: offering group associate membership for organisations, and is £275 per annum. Benefits include all of the above, one discounted place at Conference, and 10 magazines for each edition.
nalgao particularly welcomes new Associate membership from individuals working in the cultural and creative sectors. For your convenience, you will find enclosed membership forms for you to complete and return back to our administration office, especially if any of your contact details have changed. This is particularly important if you have not registered your email address with us, as we intend to develop electronic mailing to our membership and to give greater access to nalgao services through this website.
- One discounted place at the Annual nalgao Conference (members save £200);
- One discounted place at each National Seminar programme (saving at least £25 on each event);
- Weekly ezines to all members, offering news and opportunities to share information on a range of arts and cultural issues;
- Free job vacancy circulation and direct emailing to over 500 other local authority and creative industries contacts;
- Personal invitations to regional meetings and seminars to explore local and regional issues (with free attendance);
- Access to training development and regional seminars on key issues;
- Access to the members area of our website, including an interactive members' forum for access to information exchange on various topic issues, a free vacancy bulletin board and an online directory of all those in membership);
- A minimum of two 'Arts at the Heart' magazines a year;
- Research programmes, including in a Training Needs Audit and information on local authority spending;
- Free e-mail circulation to the membership for information appeals supporting issues that individual members require assistance with; A Corporate vote at AGM;
- Regional and National networking, working collectively and individually with the membership; Advocacy for local authority arts and cultural services, and our continuing dialogue and partnership with other regional and national organisations and authorities such as our work with the Arts Council on local performance indicators and partnership agreements, with national bodies such as the Audit Commission and the DCMS, and other associations such as the LGA, ISPAL, CLOA and a range of other bodies ensuring that local arts development has a strong voice at regional and national levels;
- The Continuing Professional Development of individual members, and the profession as a whole.
